We are the food we eat, the air we breathe, and the products we put on our skin.
We approach skincare the way we approach food: choosing simple, minimally processed, nutrient-rich, and local whenever possible.
Tallow embodies that approach perfectly. It’s a whole, nutrient-dense fat with a lipid profile similar to the oils our skin naturally produces, which allows it to absorb easily, support the skin’s natural barrier, and reduce moisture loss.

Our Story
For twenty years, I've worked remotely in the non-profit sector — meaningful work that I'm grateful for, but work that happens largely through screens and across distances. And while I've always been connected to community through my children and their schools, I've carried a longing to create something tangible and connected to my community on Vancouver Island.
Bœuf became the answer to that longing.
Through Bœuf I get to connect with Vancouver Island farms, small businesses, and customers, celebrate the abundance and wild beauty of this place, and offer a way to care for skin that's consistent with my values: choosing simple, minimally processed, nutrient-rich, and local whenever possible.
Our Ingredients & Process
All our products are made with fresh, locally sourced Vancouver Island grass-fed beef suet. When available locally, our tallow is also grass-finished.
We dry-render it slowly in small batches, then blend it with organic botanical oils and therapeutic-grade essential oils. The result is clean, simple skincare — no additives, no fillers, and nothing synthetic.
