Why Tallow
Choosing tallow for skincare is a natural extension of that philosophy. It’s a whole, nutrient-dense fat with a lipid profile similar to the oils our skin naturally produces, which allows it to absorb easily, support the skin’s natural barrier, and reduce moisture loss.
Tallow contains fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K, along with fatty acids that support healthy skin structure and lipid balance.
Most moisturizers rely on water-based formulas and synthetic ingredients for short-term relief from dryness. Bœuf is different. It's an oil-based formula made with simple ingredients, designed to seal in moisture so skin stays soft and protected for longer.

Our Ingredients & Process
All our products are made with fresh, local, Vancouver Island tallow from pasture-raised cattle.
Our tallow is grass-fed, and when available locally, grass-finished as well.
We dry-render it slowly in small batches, then blend it with organic botanical oils and therapeutic-grade essential oils. The result is clean, simple skincare — no additives, no fillers, and nothing synthetic.
